Le Château de Ranton
Further Rental Information
What Do You Need to Bring?
The Château has everything you need for a comfortable holiday. You only need to bring towels and personal sports equipment.
A car is necessary to take full advantage of the facilities in the area. If you do not want to bring your own, cars can be hired in Tours by the week at competitive rates from all major European car-hire companies. Tours is accessible by the high-speed TGV train from Paris.
Liability and Insurance
The Château still retains many of the features of a medieval fortress. It has high ramparts, numerous cellars and stone staircases. It is, therefore, not suitable for unsupervised small children.

All visitors are recommended to arrange their own holiday insurance, including medical cover as required. The owners can accept no responsibility for accidents, although every effort has been made to clearly mark hazards.
The owners of the Château de Ranton will not accept any liability for any loss, injury or damage of any nature whatsoever sustained to or by any person in the course of their occupation of the Château de Ranton and the land belonging adjacent thereto as a result of the occupation of that property or any activity carried out in the course of such occupation wheresoever sustained, such activity and occupation being carried out at the individual's own risk.
Help Us Preserve the Castle
The Château is a building of recognised historical interest. The pleasure of staying in such a unique environment depends on every group of visitors leaving the Château in as good a condition as when they arrived.
Arrival and Departure Times
Groups are requested to arrive between 17.00 and 19.00 and to leave the Château by 10.00 the following Saturday.

We have to ask for a non-refundable 30% deposit on booking and the balance one month before the rental is due to start. Cheques can be made out to either P. Butler or Ranton Immobilier (for French cheques) or P. Johnston (English or Belgian cheques).
